Hey cuties of the internet. Being in a relationship is a magical feeling; it's like the sky is a different color, the wind has a fresh breath, and the sun beating down on your face lights you up so that you feel like you're floating. We all have our idiosyncrasies in relationships, and my true feeling is that they even change from partner to partner. Maybe in one relationship we're absent and aloof, maybe in the other we're clingy and attached. There are so many confounding factors to the ebb and flow of relationships, and all we can do is enjoy the ride we're on. 

I know that when I'm single, I'm undoubtedly independent. I love my alone time, I can really feel myself and let myself be my full self. I'm involved with my friends constantly, and self-care is a number one priority. But when I enter a relationship with a guy I really like, you better believe all that independence drips away and I want to spend every moment with him. I want to wake up to texts of, "good morning," and go to bed to, "I love you."

  • Everyone has that one thing they love their partner doing. My ex wasn't exceptionally into forehead kisses, but he did love when I would leave him sweet notes and love letters around his home. I would stuff them in books so that when he opened the book he'd get a cute little note.

  • I'm guilty of this one. Sometimes I feel so clingy that I follow my boyfriend to the bathroom. Much to their distress, they don't let me in (usually). But on the flip side, I don't mind at all if they follow me in. Actually, I prefer it. I see it as bonding time for us.
